Last week, Glamour Magazine in the UK crowned former Spice Girl turned mogul fashion designer ‘Woman Of the Decade’ at its annual ‘Glamour Awards’ in London, UK.

At the ceremony, Posh Spice received the highly coveted award as Glamour Magazine say she has made a major impact for her gender and generation.

From her early days as one of the Spice Girls, to marrying the world’s most famous soccer player, battling various cheating rumors and fighting off frenzied female fans, to strengthening her marriage, children and her fledgling fashion career to the powerhouse it is today, it seems Victoria really does have the midas touch and exhibits a true modern day pioneer woman spirit.

During her designer career, she has contributed designed to Dolce & Gabbana, Rock and Republic, and has her own line of apparel worn by some of the biggest celebs in the world such as Eva Longoria, Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Beyonce, Demi Moore, Miranda Kerr and many more.

The designer earned praise from the mag for being equal parts “family-oriented” and “business savvy” while maintaining an active social media presence. Not easy for a woman to juggle both a successful business or career and a growing family. She attended the awards with her oldest son Brooklyn, 14 who she said was ‘the most handsome man in the room.”

She also issued an important mandate to all us women in the world: “I love to celebrate women. Girl power,” Victoria said in her speech. “It’s great when women support women. We need more women out there supporting women.”

It seems the Girl Power days of the Spice Girls didn’t die with the music, it is well and truly alive in everything this amazing woman does!

Beckham, who is often seen wearing her own designs added in her acceptance speech: “Thank you to my husband, who does everything for me, he supports me, he encourages me to follow my dreams and fulfil my passions. I’ve been so blessed to have two careers. I have been so lucky…here’s to the next ten years….in ten years I will be nearly 50.”

What do you think of Victoria Beckham being named ‘Woman of the decade’ for her contribution to the Pop world, fashion and how she balances a successful home and work life? Do you think it should’ve gone to someone else?
