Renee Head shot

We love bringing you inspiring content that will impact your life in a special way. We are always seeking out great women who have a story to share or words of wisdom that will benefit the reader. Well what better person to make an impact than larger than life Mob Wives personality Renee Graziano. You’ve seen her on the Vh1 show, but do you really know her?

There is a whole other side to this bombshell, and we reached out to her to share a little about herself. Expecting her to be too busy, not interested etc, we were stunned and so happy when she agreed to share with our readers a little bit of her life experience. This is just the first of our posts by Renee, and we hope you will appreciate her message. She has certainly been through a lot in her life, and once you take away the Mafia, the Underworld, the Mob, the money, the crime, the hitlists, and all the stigma that her lifestyle brings, you will see she too is just another woman like us all who seeks to better herself and share her story.

Not that she needs much of an introduction, but in her own words, here is Renee Graziano…

1. What is the biggest misconception about you?
The biggest misconception about me is that I’m this rough and tough girl who always wants to fight, scream, or yell. It’s actually quite the contrary, I’m very soft and sweet, filled with love and laughs. I only attack when I feel a loved one of mine is being treated the wrong way.

2. What has been the most exciting and fun experience on Mob Wives?
The most exciting thing about doing Mob Wives for me definitely has to be all the wonderful talk shows and media outlets, good and bad. It gives me a voice to share my world and I’m not talking the under world! Plus I get to travel and spend quality time with my sister and son.

3. If your life were made into a movie, who would play you?
If anyone could play me it would be one of the three following actresses: Julianna Margulies (love her), Debi Mazar (there’s a resemblance) plus she’s spunky and of course talented, and I happen to really like Faruzi Balk.

4. What’s your biggest guilty pleasure when it comes to reality TV?
Guilty Pleasure…GUILTY and PLEASURE I’ve learned definitely don’t belong in the same sentence! Lil’ wise gal humor there. But mine is watching all my Vh1 family shows on Mondays! ‘Love n Hip Hop’, ‘Gossip Game’, and Basketball Wives. You name it I watch it. I’m always rooting for who I love and cursing at the characters I don’t, just like everyone else!

5. What does being a role model or an icon mean to you?
I have a hard time considering myself a role model or an icon. I see myself as one of Gods children with a megaphone passing on some good advice and letting them know the cold hard facts of reality ~ which doesn’t make me a role model but a reality model. Between you and me it is pretty awesome to help save people.

6. You have spoken openly about plastic surgery, how would you warn others of the dangers?
I am very open to speak about my botched surgery as well as my reconstructive surgery. My best advice during the whole ugly ordeal has been to research your doc thoroughly before letting anyone take to your body with a knife. And on the flip side never give up hope. There is a doctor out there that can correct the damage, maybe not all of it, and help you. Remember before going under the knife that this scar is forever and sometimes it scars your brain worse then your body. My other advice is to pray on it. Include exercise in your life and don’t just take the easy way out

7. So many women and girls look to you as inspiration, what is one important piece of life advice you live by and would like to pass on to your fans?
Don’t listen 2 what people say about you, rather listen to what you hear God saying to you about yourself! If you know you are beautiful don’t try to change what’s already working for you. Instead learn to love yourself. That way you’ll always have someone in love with you.

8. Who are your female role models in life?
Wow female role models..I’d have to say Tina Fey! I have met her, worked for her, had time to talk with her and she is truly the most beautiful brilliant, fun loving, kind woman I have ever had the honor of meeting. Then, of course, there is my mother who is the epitome of strength and my sisters who are great mothers and are very intelligent.

9. How you you deal with body image in the public eye and all the scrutiny that comes with the press?
This is a very hard one and I don’t have an answer. I sometimes turn down chances to be out and about because I struggle with low self esteem and am extremely body conscious. But when it’s time for me to do do my job I get on the carpet, smile, pose, and pray. I look better than I think I do. And that’s the honest truth!

10. If you could choose between inner beauty or outer beauty/outward appearance, which one would you spend more time fixing and why?
I’ve tried fixing the outside and now I gotta work with the results. Personally the inside is what needed fixing from the beginning, not the outside. So now I’m gonna work on me, improve the heart and the smile will follow suit.

11. What is one thing you wish you could change about yourself?
The one thing I wish I could change about me is my clothing size, like most girls. I wish I was 5 foot 6 inches, 36D with boobs that stayed up like I do with my insomnia, 26 inch waist which is great for jeans, a little more of a butt, and 34 inch hips. That would be an awesome little body but if I had to choose right now I would honestly settle for being happy with everything I have because God doesn’t make mistakes.

12. And finally, what is your advice to women and girls who are ‘going through it’ in life right now?
Pray, pray and keep praying some more. Don’t lose sight of what you want. Don’t let anyone set you back and remember God makes the impossible possible.
